Both Brown and Hall started for the Tide last season.
Saban cited privacy issues in declining to further detail the suspensions, other than to say that both players violated team rules.
Brown played in 11 games last season, catching 44 passes for 590 yards and three touchdowns. Hall was a freshman All-SEC selection, playing in all 13 games in 2006 and recording 77 tackles, including 10½ tackles for loss.
