Cecil Hurt

Alabama 24, Tennessee 23

Yes, I have picked Alabama in every game so far. No, I don't think that will continue all year, so this isn't just a reflex pick. Tennessee is perfectly capable of putting up more than 23 points, and if that happens, it's cigars for the Orange. But for some non-automatic reason, I think the Tide gets to light 'em up.

Christopher Walsh

Tennessee 23, Alabama 22

There's just no way to get a handle on this game. Like usual, throw out most of the records and statistics with these teams, although it would surprise no one to see a lot of points scored. The Vols' defense hasn't been particularly impressive this season, but Alabama still has not played a complete game and is still coming together as a team.

David Wasson

Alabama 27, Tennessee 21

I like Cohibas, and enjoyed a fine one while in the duty-free confines of Mexico over six years ago. I am not sure what kind of fine cigar Nick Saban prefers, but I think a quality smoke might be on his mind late tonight. Tennessee is vulnerable, as Florida and Cal showed, and Alabama is overdue for a complete game. Spark it!

Andrew Carroll

Tennessee 27, Alabama 10

During its improvement phase after two early losses, Tennessee smashed a Georgia team that beat Alabama in overtime. Tennessee will use its running game to wear down the Alabama defense, David Cutcliffe will have QB Erik Ainge throwing at the right time. It's hard to say if UA is improving because of the mistakes made at Ole Miss.

Michael Southern

Tennessee 31, Alabama 27

Tennessee's offensive line presents a physical challenge. Alabama has struggled with applying consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks, while Tennessee has built a brick wall around Erik Ainge. Alabama will take advantage of Tennessee's suspect defense, but the Crimson Tide just doesn't have the depth to outlast the Volunteers.

Edwin Stanton

Tennessee 31, Alabama 21

This is by far the biggest game of the season so far, and the first big game for Nick Saban. If the Tide hopes to have any chance at all, it has to play a complete game with little or no mistakes. It’s Tennessee, so the Tide will be motivated, but flawless execution is what wins these rivalry games, something Alabama hasn’t shown any of this season.

Harold Stout

Tennessee 27, Alabama 13

Here’s hoping that Alabama can finally pull all its parts of the game together in one effort. Tennessee won’t be a Houston or an Ole Miss. The Tide can’t rely on yet another lucky break to pull out a win. It will take a winning effort to win this one. I’ll be looking for it, but I really don’t expect to see it. Tennessee will get out of Tuscaloosa with another win.
