TUSCALOOSA | Third-year women’s golf coach Mic Potter announced the signing of Brooke Pancake from Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

“I am thrilled that Brooke has chosen to join the Crimson Tide women’s golf team,” Potter said.

“Brooke is both an outstanding player and student, and is the personification of the type of student-athlete that we want to build this program around. While Brooke has had an outstanding junior career, winning four consecutive Tennessee state high school championships, I feel that her best golf is ahead of her, and that the sky is the limit on how good she can be.”

Pancake is the only player to have won four consecutive Tennessee state titles. She holds the 18- and 36-hole scoring record in the event.

Pancake is ranked No. 26 in the class of 2008 by the American Junior Golf Association. She has finished in the top 10 in eight of her 15 AJGA tournaments over the past three years.
