UPDATE: Tickets sales steady for Independence Bowl

TUSCALOOSA | Ticket sales for the Dec. 30 Independence Bowl are progressing steadily, with only about 4,500 seats remaining at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, La.

Bowl officials said Wednesday that they have sold 44,600 tickets so far for the Alabama-Colorado game, which will be televised live by ESPN.

UA has sold 9,100 tickets sold as of Tuesday out ot its 12,000-ticket allotment.
