Alabama among highlights for W. Kentucky in 2008

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. | Western Kentucky is hardly shying away from opponents during the final transitional year from the Football Championship Subdivision to the Football Bowl Subdivision.
The Hilltoppers will play teams from four Bowl Championship Series conferences in 2008, part of an ambitious schedule that they hope will have them prepared when they become full-fledged members of the Sun Belt conference in 2009.
Western Kentucky will play road games at Indiana, Alabama, Kentucky and Virginia Tech. The Hilltoppers will also travel to Eastern Kentucky and future Sun Belt rivals Troy and Florida International.
