Parker-Bush

Shelia Diane Bush and Carl Mandel Parker were married Aug. 16 at Weeping Mary AME Zion Church with the Rev. Michael Bush officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Bush of Tuscaloosa. She is the granddaughter of Lula Mae Rice and the late Willie Bush and the late John Henry Rice and Betty Rice of Greene County and the late Mr. and Mrs. Soloman Bush of Tuscaloosa.

Parents of the groom are the late Ideal Foster and Charles Parker of Chicago.

Given in marriage by her brother, the Rev. Michael Bush, the bride wore a mermaid-style strapless diamond white satin dress with a long train.

The bride was attended by Sarita Mungin, daughter of the bride, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laquita Leatherwood of Tuscaloosa, niece of the bride, and Katia Bush of Montgomery, niece of the bride. Flower girl was Deja Unique Mungin of Atlanta, Ga., granddaughter of the bride.

Otis Tubbs of Tuscaloosa served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Marvin Mungin of Atlanta, son-in-law of the bride and Michael Bush II, nephew of the bride from Montgomery. Ringbearer was Deaijae Mungin of Atlanta, grandson of the bride.

After a trip to Chicago, the couple will live in Tuscaloosa.
