Alabama gas prices lower

MONTGOMERY | With oil prices in a downward spiral, the cost of gasoline in Alabama was a bit cheaper on Monday — 2 cents less than Sunday’s prices. According to AAA’s daily fuel gauge report, the Alabama average for a gallon of regular is $3.66.

Correction

MONTGOMERY | An Oct. 4 story on Page 3B about the collision of an 18-wheeler and a prison van contained an incorrect name. Department of Corrections spokesman Brian Corbett issued a correction Monday stating that the victim was John Foye Sr., 52, not his son, John Foye Jr., 20.
