Anthony Grant picks up major commitment

TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama men’s basketball program received a major commitment on Friday night when point guard Trevor Releford of Shawnee Mission, Kans., committed to sign with head coach Anthony Grant’s program in November.
Releford, a 5-foot-10 guard who is rated among the Top 100 prospects in the nation, had narrowed his choices to Alabama and Oklahoma. He is taking his official visit to Alabama this weekend.
The brother of Kansas guard Travis Releford, Trevor Releford is rated the No. 11 point guard in the nation by Dave Telep of Scout.com
He is the third player to commit to sign with Alabama in November, joining guard Charles Hankerson of Miami and center Shaun Kemp of Cherokee, Ga., a 2008 Alabama signee who is expected to rejoin the Crimson Tide after a year in prep school.
