Chat transcript (10-14-09)

bama4life'72: I noticed that Jeff Luc's rating dropped a bit in the new Rival's 100. Do you really feel we have a legitimate chance of landing him in this class and is he one of the top recruits on our board?

Andrew Bone: He is the No. 1 middlie linebacker in the country with Scout.com. I think he is a top priority for the coaching staff. He is considering an official visit. Linked below are all the Scout.com rankings for the Tide's commitments as well.

arface: how would you rate Pat Milliner? and where does 'Bama stand with him?

Andrew Bone: I have only seen him Live once. I will need to look at more film before I rate him. I think he could end up playing wide receiver. We go out and evaluate prospects Live and evaluate film as well.

gear003: heard anything from james stone

Andrew Bone: Still the silent treatment to all from Stone. I have talked with a few who are close who believe Alabama is the team to beat.

dahlen: Which recruits are expected to attend the So. Carolina game?

Andrew Bone: You should see several unofficial visitors in town including a lot of underclassmen. The two official visitors are Johnavon Fulton and Cade Foster.

bp84: Who do you see as the better propect, Ahmad Dixon or Keenan Allen?

Andrew Bone: I have never seen Dixon in person, but know he is a tackling machine. He is always around the football. I think Allen is more versatile. He could play on either side of the ball.

nathanr1: What is the likelyhood that we would take A. Dixon already having 2 good safety's on board?

Andrew Bone: Alabama will take a commitment from Dixon.

nathanr1: Any news on K. Allen and a decision date?

Andrew Bone: No. He is still not saying much. A decision could happen at any time.

gear003: bama would take both dixon and allen right?

Andrew Bone: Yes.

rolltide25: if you had to guess, who's the next committment going to be from?

Andrew Bone: Keenan Allen.

gear003: what do you think about chris dunkley scheduling a visit? looks like we have a shot to steal him

Andrew Bone: He's had plans to visit for a while. He told us about a month ago he will visit Alabama for sure. Alabama has always been in the mix for him. It's still a tough pull from Florida.

bp84: Other than Fulton, are there any other major targets at CB that the coaches are after?

Andrew Bone: Alabama is still recruiting Juco corner DeQuan Menzie.

mooretd: what are bamas chances with dixon

Andrew Bone: Any time you get a prospect on campus for an official visit you have a great shot. We'll see his reaction after next weekend.

russelljonesjr: Do you think with a strong performance from bama and a good offical visit from fans, players and coaches. J. Fulton would commit this weekend?

Andrew Bone: I think it could help sway Fulton in favor of Alabama, but I don't think he will decide until December.

arface: with a 3rd WR commiting this week, is UA done at the position, unless a top flight guy, like a Dunkley says yes?

Andrew Bone: Yes I think so.

nathanr1: If Luc visits what do you think the % of him leaving the state of FL is and does the turmoil at FSU help us?

Andrew Bone: I definitely think Alabama has a chance. A lot of the recruits are taking a wait-and-see approach with FSU.

russelljonesjr: What do you know about auburn commit OL. Coleman interest in bama and would he and D. Robinson be a package deal to the capstone?

Andrew Bone: I know there was some interest early. He still may decide to visit Alabama. I do not see them as a package deal.

gear003: What is your prediction for the game this weekend

Andrew Bone: I could definitley see a 28-10 type game.
