TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama baseball team will scrimmage three times this weekend as part of homecoming festivities at the Capstone.
The Crimson Tide will scrimmage at 2:30 p.m. today, 11 a.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday as the team concludes its third week of fall practice.
“We think it’s important right now to have those three good practice days on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and really still work in our development,” new head coach Mitch Gaspard said.
“We are pitching six freshmen right now that not only need to pitch in scrimmages, but they need constant work and drill work and to do the things that will enhance their development as we get closer to the spring.”
All scrimmages are open to the public. There is no admission charge.
