Chat transcript part ll (10-21-09)

Crimson Reign: How good is Marvin Shinn?

Andrew Bone: He is very good. He is definitely one of the top five players in Alabama for the 2011 class.

Crimson Reign: Does Alabama have a chance with Dunkley or is Pahokee becoming Tennessee's little Florida outpost?

Andrew Bone: Alabama is still in the mix. He plans to visit for the LSU game.

Lucian12: how is Cade Foster's sr. season going, and do you know if he uses tape in his kicking approach?

Andrew Bone: Foster is having a excellent senior season. He is doing very well as a linebacker as well. I think you can see him making an immediate impact.

Crimson Reign: What about JUCO WR Kenbrell Thompkins?

Andrew Bone: The last time we spoke to Thompkins he said he was still very interested in Alabama and planned to visit at some point.

bp84: Any commits looking to move up, not necessarily in star rating, but in position ranking? Maybe guys like Belue, Grant, Malone?

Andrew Bone: I think we could see Belue and Austin Shepherd moving up. Grant will have a chance as well.

Bowlingist: How is Petey Smith and what is he allowed to participate in during his greyshirt year?

Andrew Bone: He is not allowed to start worknig out with the team until January.

Lucian12: Does UT commit Delvin Jones have any plans for a Tuscaloosa visit?

Andrew Bone: Yes. He said he plans to visit Tuscaloosa the last time I spoke with him.

Crimson Reign: Does Alabama have a real chance at Corey Lemonier?

Andrew Bone: I do not think so at this point.

Lucian12: any other possible "steals" for UA?

Andrew Bone: The possible steals are guys like Jeff Luc, Ahmad Dixon, Chris Dunkley- They need to get them in for a visit.

Crimson Reign: Any word on DT Carlton Martin?

Andrew Bone: Ole Miss is the favorite, but he is still listing Alabama as one of his favorites.

gear003: How did Quan Bray like his visit

Andrew Bone: He enjoyed the visit a lot. I think Alabama is definitely one of the frontrunners for him.

Lucian12: milliner and p. sims are dec grads? any others?

Andrew Bone: Yes. Both plan to graduate in December. Other players planning to graduate in December include Jalston Fowler, Devonta Bolton, Brandon Lewis, Austin Shepherd, Cade Foster, Chad Lindsay.

Andrew Bone: Maurice Hayes and Kenbrell Thompkins are both showing interest in Alabama.

Bowlingist: Why are all the top players from TN (except 1) not going to UT?

Andrew Bone: Never really a deep year in Tennessee, and the coaching staff branches out nationwide. They do have a commitment from the top ranked player in the state-Jacaques Smith.

Crimson Reign: Is Alabama planning to have their highest number of official visitors for the LSU game?

Andrew Bone: They will have some official visitors, but not their highest number. I would expect that in December or January.

nathanr1: What posistionh do you see K. Allen playing in college?

Andrew Bone: I like him on safety, but I could easily see him playing receiver. He excels at both positions.

gear003: are there any commits to other schools thinking about jumping ship as the season continues

Andrew Bone: Yes. I definitely think we will see some decommitments from other schools around the south as the season continues.

Bowlingist: Can recruits take official visits to the SEC championship game?

Andrew Bone: No.

russelljonesjr: What prospects are planning to visit this weekend for Tenn.?

Andrew Bone: Not positive on all the unofficial visitors yet, but Phillip Sims and Alfy Hill are the two official visitors for the weekend.
