Walston and Yassine fall in finals

NEW ORLEANS | Following a grueling win in the semifinals, University of Alabama men’s tennis senior Houssam Yassine and junior Trey Walston fell in the finals round of the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southern Regional Championships on Sunday.
The Crimson Tide duo outlasted Mississippi State sophomores George Coupland and Artem Ilyushin 9-8(3) before dropping an 8-3 decision to Auburn junior Tim Puetz and sophomore Alex Stamchev in the final match.
Alabama returns to the court when it hosts the Crimson Tide Fall Championships this weekend at the University of Alabama Tennis Stadium.
