Tide soccer finishes weekend with loss

TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama soccer team closed out the weekend with a 2-0 loss to Tennessee Sunday afternoon at the Alabama soccer stadium. The Lady Vols improve to 8-7-3 overall and 4-4-2 in conference play while the Crimson Tide fall to 6-9-1 on the season and 2-6-1 in league action.

Mick Imgram and Emily Dowd led Tennessee with three shots each while Alabama had five different players fire off two shots apiece. Molly Baird earned the shutout for Tennessee on the strength of six saves while Justine Bernier made five stops.

Alabama will wrap up its home portion of the schedule against rival Auburn. The two instate foes will meet on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
