Crimson Tide golf in sixth at Isleworth Collegiate

WINDERMERE, Fla. | The No. 16 University of Alabama men’s golf team shot a 11-over-par 299 in the first round of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational to finish in sixth place, 10 shots off the lead of Stanford.
Sophomore Bud Cauley shot a 3-under-par 69 to leave himself tied for fourth place individually. He is one stroke off the lead after draining six birdies during his round, including four on the back nine.
Sophomore Hunter Hamrick posted a 75 (3-over) with two birdies and is tied for 23rd after round one. Redshirt freshman Scott Strohmeyer carded a 76 (4-over) to end the day tied for 33rd.
