Alabama rowing sweeps top spots

OAKRIDGE, Tenn. | The University of Alabama rowing team pulled off a program first at the Secret City Regatta in Oakridge, Tenn., Saturday when every Crimson Tide boat entered in the event finished in the top three.
In addition to every UA boat medaling, Alabama also swept the top spot in all five of its races. The Tide took the top three spots in the novice and varsity 8+ races, the varsity 4+ race and the varsity doubles race. Alabama also took first with the only boat it entered in the novice 4+ race.
The Tide won the varsity 8+ with a time of 17:32.08, the novice 8+ with a 20:09.90, the varsity 4+ with a 20:18.83, the novice 4+ 20:35.70 and the varsity doubles with a time of 22:40.80.
