ANDREW BONE: Alabama commitment suffers injury

Wilson Love, Scout.com three-star defensive tackle from Mountain Brook High School, didn't have the senior season he envisioned. The Spartans finished with a disappointing 4-6 record and failed to make the play-offs. Things took a turn for the worse in Friday night’s blowout win over Carver High School.
"I broke my fibula," said Love. "It didn't feel too good. I was making a tackle, and then just heard something snap. I knew right then I broke it.
"I am not in a cast. I plan on getting a boot in about four weeks. I had the surgery on Friday night. Dr. Cain did the surgery."
Love spoke with one of the Alabama assistant coaches following the surgery.
“Coach Sal [Sunseri] called me," Love said. "He was making sure I was OK. I told him I was good. This is not going to slow me down. I should be back to 100-percent in January. It sucks that it had to happen in our last game and on Homecoming."
