Arrests

Tuesday

Joseph Anderson, age unknown, 100 block of Bear Creek Road, Brent, was charged with first-degree robbery and attempted murder. Bail was set at $120,000.

Wednesday

John Lewis Houston Jr., age unknown, 2800 block of Garrison Avenue Southwest, Birmingham, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $30,000.

Daisy Lee Cooper Lawrence, 52, 1300 block of 17th Street Southwest, Birmingham, was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglars' tools. Bail was set at $5,000.

Robert James Williams Jr., 60, 100 block of Second Avenue South, Birmingham, was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglars' tools. Bail was set at $30,000.

Corey William Tyler, 20, 4100 block of McWrights Ferry Road, was charged with receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $2,500.

Sid Antwan Carter, 20, 1300 block of Jefferson Road, Demopolis, was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $30,000.

Kimberly Smith, 36, address unknown, was charged with first-degree theft. Bail was set at $25,000.

Tuscaloosa Police

Vehicle break-ins

A purse and a checkbook were taken from a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner in the 2300 block of McFarland Boulevard East between 6:45 and 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Thefts

A Regions bank debit card was taken from a property on 60th Street between 10 and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

Burglaries

A gas powered generator, a bottle jack trailer lift, a Springfield single-shot .22-caliber rifle, one fiber glass post hole digger, money and five comic books were taken from a home on Upper Columbus Road, Gordo, between 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Tuesday.
