TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama football team returned to the No. 2 spot in the Bowl Championship Series standings, up from No. 3, with its victory over LSU.
Florida remained No. 1, followed by Alabama, Texas at No. 3, TCU at No. 4 and Cincinnati at No. 5.
Alabama remained No. 3 in both the Associated Press Top 25 rankings and the USA Today coaches' poll.
