NEW YORK | Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram has been bumped from the "Late Show with David Letterman" lineup and will not appear on the show tonight.
The University of Alabama sophomore did appear on ABC's "Good Morning America" today and also on nationally-syndicated radio shows hosted by Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd.
Ingram will officially receive his cast bronze 25-pound trophy tonight at the 75th annual Heisman Memorial Trophy Dinner at the Marriott Marquis on Broadway. The dinner will be preceded by a reception open only to former Heisman Trophy winners and the award’s sponsors. Ingram will then attend a VIP cocktail reception, followed by the dinner.
Former winners Ron Dayne of Wisconsin (1999), Doug Flutie of Boston College (1984) and Billy Cannon of LSU (1959) will also be honored on the anniversary year of their awards. Individual tickets were priced at $500, with packages for attendees ranging up to $50,000.
