TUSCALOOSA | The University of Alabama baseball team ranked 10th nationally in attendance last season, averaging 4,010 fans per game to Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The Crimson Tide drew 116,294 fans in 29 home dates, the fewest number of home dates for the Crimson Tide in the last 20 years.

The Tide posted a 26-6 home record last season, which included three doubleheaders. The Tide was 10-10 on the road and 1-5 in neutral site games in 2009.

Alabama’s top-10 ranking in attendance last season was the school’s 11th top-10 ranking in the last 12 years. The Tide finished second nationally in attendance in 2000, 2001 and 2002, averaging more than 5,000 fans per game. In 2000, Alabama set a school attendance record with 211,331 fans and 6,216 per game average as the team sold out every home game.

Alabama season tickets are on sale through the Alabama Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets can be purchased on-line (www.RollTide.com) or by calling 205-348-2262.

The 2010 season opener is Saturday, Feb. 20, when the Tide begins the Mitch Gaspard era against the South Alabama Jaguars at 2:05 p.m.
