Heather Mesalam joins UA women’s hoops staff
TUSCALOOSA | Heather Mesalam has been hired as director of basketball operations for the University of Alabama women’s basketball team, rounding out the staff of new head coach Wendell Hudson.
“We are excited to have Heather join the staff and take on a larger role in the Alabama basketball family,” Hudson said in a statement.

Paterno says he feels good after hospital visit
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Penn State coach Joe Paterno shrugged off a medical scare and said Friday that he feels fine after going to the hospital this week to be treated for dehydration.He even suggested he'd like to keep coaching longer.``Realistically, at my age, if I go three, four, five (more) years, that would be great,'' Paterno said.
