The University of Alabama men’s basketball staff put in a full weekend on the road as they continue their roster-building effort, visiting prospects including possible transfers and highly-ranked members of the Class of 2020.

Alabama also continues to recruit the state’s top prospect, 6-foot-7 forward Trendon Watford of Mountain Brook. Watford, who participated in the Jordan Brand Classic in Las Vegas last Saturday, has not announced a new commitment date since postponing an announcement originally scheduled for last Saturday. He also has not announced a change from his final five schools — Alabama, Duke, Indiana, LSU and Memphis — although Duke received two Top 25 commitments over the weekend and has likely finished its five-player class.

Alabama also continues to recruit 6-foot-8 forward James Rojas from Hutchinson (Kansas) Junior College for the 2019-2020 season.

According to Andrew Slater of The Athletic, the Crimson Tide has also been in touch with at least two possible transfer guards — R.J. Cole of Howard University and Jahvon Quinerly — who would be eligible for the 2020-2021 season. Other 2021 prep prospects to whom Alabama has reached out are swingman Nimari Burnett of Napa, Cal., who said on his Twitter account last week that he had received an Alabama offer; point guard Daishen Nix of Las Vegas; and forward Austin Harvell of East Limestone High School in Athens.
