The team worked outside as it continued preparations for the Arkansas game. It was 84 degrees with a feels-like temperature of 89. Here is what I saw during the media viewing period.
Ritchie Petitbon ran some reps with the first-team offensive line. Petitbon was at right guard in betweeb Matt Womack and Bradley Bozeman with Ross Pierschbacher and Jonah Williams on the left side. After a few reps, Lester Cotton came back in with the ones. When Cotton was with the twos at right guard, Jedrick Wills was at right tackle, J.C. Hassenauer at center, Josh Casher at left guard and Alex Leatherwood at left tackle.
The first group of four included Raekwon Davis, Josh Frazier, Da’Ron Payne and Isaiah Buggs. The second group included LaBryan Ray, Phidarian Mathis, Johnny Dwight and Quinnen Williams. The defensive line depth has really increased throughout the season.
Tony Brown was spotted at practice. He’d been in a black, no-contact jersey earlier this week. The corners were the same with Levi Wallace at left corner, Anthony Averett at right corner. Hootie Jones was at Money with Minkah Fitzpatrick at Star and Ronnie Harrison at safety. Xavier McKinney is a player that is getting a lot of reps. He’s one to watch going forward.
Da’Shawn Hand was not spotted. He’ll likely sit through the back week, in my opinion.
