BIRMINGHAM – Jeremy Gschwendtner won both his singles matches Friday in the opening day of play at the CCB Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Birmingham.

He’s one of four University of Alabama players who are competing. Alabama’s Marcelo Sepulveda Garza and Avi Shugar bothsplit, each going 1-1 on the day.

The tournament continues throughout the weekend.
