The Alabama track and field teams closed its own Crimson Tide Invitational on Friday with eight wins and a school record.

Portious Warren won the shot put with a throw of 57-10.5, crushing her own school record.

Kord Ferguson won the men’s shot put (199-00.0) by more than 18 feet. Ferguson also won discus with a meet-record mark of 65-04.0.

In the 4×100-meter relay, Alabama’s Daija Lampkin, Mauricia Prieto, Krystal Sparling and Tamara Clark combined for a win (43.63). In the 200 meters, Lampkin and Clark went 1-2, with times of 22.95 and 22.99, respectively. Alabama also finished first and second in the women’s 400 meters, with Prieto breaking the meet record with a 52.68, just ahead of Katie Funcheon (54.06).

Shelby McEwen won with a leap of 7-03.0. Will Herrscher set a Crimson Tide Invitational record on his way to winning the pole vault (17-00.75). Skyler Bowden won the men’s 400 meters with a meet record 45.91.
