BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University of Alabama volleyball team capped its weekend at the University of Buffalo Invite with a win against Colgate on Saturday.

Alabama (3-0) won the opening two sets, 25-21 and 25-19, before Colgate rallied to even the match with a 29-27 win in the third set followed by a 25-16 win. Alabama won the fifth set, 15-9, for the match win.

Alabama had three set wins on Friday against both Buffalo and Marist.

Alyiah Wells was named the Tournament MVP. Ginger Perinar and Kaylee Thomas were named to the all-tournament team.

Next weekend, Alabama heads to Richmond, Va., for the Virginia Commonwealth University Invitational. The Crimson Tide will play Navy and VCU on Friday and N.C. State on Saturday.
