The University of Alabama men’s basketball team will face Florida, an Elite Eight participant last season, as one of its five home-and-home conference opponents in 2017-18. Alabama will also play twice against Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. The SEC announced its league opponents lineup on Thursday.
The additional home opponents for Alabama are Arkansas, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee. Road games include Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
Dates, times and television for the 2018 conference schedule will be announced at a later time.
UA is also slated for non-conference games against Arizona, Memphis, Texas, Rhode Island, Central Florida, Minnesota, BYU and Oklahoma in the coming season.
Alabama returns four starters from last season’s 19-15 squad that participated in the National Invitation Tournament. In addition, the Crimson Tide welcomes the nation’s fifth-ranked recruiting class for the 2017-18 campaign, and sophomore transfer Daniel Giddens, who came from Ohio State prior to the 2016-17 season, will be eligible to suit up for the Tide this year after sitting out last year due to NCAA transfer rules.
