The University of Alabama men’s basketball program received its third commitment of the early signing period for 2017-18 as guard Diante Wood of three-time AHSAA Class 1A champion Sacred Heart of Anniston, announced for UA at his school on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4 Wood chose Alabama over Auburn, South Florida and UAB. He is a three-time Class 1A Player of the Year and is rated a three-star prospect by ESPN. He is generally considered the state’s No. 1 prospect among the senior class.
