Crimson Tide forward Ashley Williams was evaluated for precautionary reasons in a Starkville hospital on Sunday, then returned to Tuscaloosa later that night.

Williams left the Alabama-Mississippi State game on a stretcher following a head-to-head collision in the final minute of the fourth quarter.  Alabama coach Kristy Curry said that Williams was conscious when she left Humphrey Coliseum, but did not have any further updates.

Williams was tagged as day-to day on Monday, and will be a question mark for the Crimson Tide’s game against No. 17 Texas A&M on Thursday. Another update on her status is expected to come on Wednesday.

Williams is averaging 10.6 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds this season.
