Junior point guard Jordan Lewis has been selected to participate in the 2019 USA Basketball 3×3 National Championship at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, in the heart of Las Vegas, on May 3-4. Prior to the national championship, Lewis will take part in a minicamp from May 1-2 before getting assigned to a 3×3 team.
“I am so excited to have a chance to get back on the court and compete,“ said Lewis. “I’m happy to have another incredible opportunity to play the game at a high level.”
The USA 3×3 Nationals, is an event that is free and open to the public, will tip off with preliminary games from 5 p.m.-12:30 a.m. CT on May 3. The preliminary round will continue from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. CT on May 4, and, after teams are seeded based on preliminary records, the knockout round will begin Saturday at 8 p.m. CT. The women’s championship game is set to tip at midnight CT on Saturday night.
The USA 3×3 Nationals will feature up to 20 women’s teams competing for the 3×3 national title. The event also serves as the 2019 USA Basketball Women’s 3×3 National Team trials, as all competing athletes will be in consideration for selection to the Women’s 2019 U.S. Pan American Games 3×3 Basketball Team.
