The Alabama women’s basketball team will open Southeastern Conference play against No. 16 Missouri on Sunday at in Coleman Coliseum.

The Crimson Tide (10-3) will look to win its seventh consecutive game when it faces its toughest competition of the year against a Tigers (12-1) team that has won 12-straight games of their own.

The last time out, Missouri defeated Illinois 72-55 at home to extend its winning streak to 12 games, just one shy of the longest win-streak in program history. The Tigers are led by standout guard Sophie Cunningham who is averaging 18.6 points per game.

Sophomore transfer from Florida State, Jasmine Walker has been a great boost off the bench for the Tide since becoming eligible to play on Dec. 17. Walker is averaging 9.3 points and 5.3 rebounds, including leading UA with a career-high 19 points and eight rebounds against Florida A&M on Dec. 28.

Senior Ashley Williams is leading the Tide with 11.3 points per game, while fellow senior Hannah Cook is putting up 11.2 points per game so far this season.
