TEMPE, Ariz. — The Alabama women’s basketball team (5-3) fell in its second and final game in the Arizona State Classic to Louisiana Tech (5-3), 79-62, in Tempe, Ariz., on Sunday.
Junior Cierra Johnson led the Tide with 15 points and four assists. Senior Shaquera Wade finished with 13 points, freshman De’Sha Benjamin had 11 points and freshman Allie Craig Cruce had 10 points.
Alabama shot 33 percent (21-of-63), while the Lady Techsters made 47 percent (31-of-66) of their shots.
The Crimson Tide begins another three-game home stand at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday against South Alabama, in the annual 5th Grade Fastbreak game. It will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
