Chose Alabama over: Oklahoma, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Florida State

Of note: Had three touchdown receptions and three interceptions in one playoff game, returning the third interception for a touchdown. That final interception broke the school record for career interceptions.

Chose Alabama over: Offers from several ACC and SEC schools, but few visits outside of Alabama 

Of note: He’s going to run into several high school teammates in his Alabama career, as Buford sent players to Ohio State, Texas, Florida, Ole Miss, and LSU in its 2019 class.

Of note: He made headlines for how he flipped from Auburn to Alabama, making it known he has no respect for the staff at Auburn after how he says it handled his decommitment.

Of note: He threw touchdown passes, ran touchdowns in and caught touchdowns in high school, and even recorded a safety in the playoffs this season. He is often projected to be a linebacker in college.

Of note: Jackson-Olin has produced a Power 5 defender in each of the last four classes, but this is the first one UA is getting its hands on. T.D. Moultry chose Auburn in 2017, Coynis Miller chose Auburn in 2018 and LaVonta Bailey chose Clemson in 2019.

Of note: His position at the collegiate level remains to be determined. He has enough skill to be a defensive back and a wide receiver, and some consider him to have potential at quarterback.

High School: Sebastian River (Sebastian, Florida)

Of note: Florida made a big effort to flip Smith down the stretch. Sebastian, Florida, is three hours away from Gainesville and rated as the Smith is rated as the fifth-best defensive lineman in the state of Florida.

Chose Alabama over: USC, after decommitting from the Trojans

Of note: According to the Press-Telegram, going into the championship game, Young was completing 73.1 percent of his passes for 53 touchdowns to three interceptions, in addition to 10 rushing touchdowns. He played against DJ Uiagalelei, a Clemson quarterback commit, in several editions of one of high school football’s most prominent rivalries: Mater Dei vs. St. John Bosco.

Of note: Committed to Oklahoma since the summer of 2017, but a late Alabama push got him to change his mind.

Chose Alabama over: Arizona State and Oregon

Of note: Started in Florida and did a year at a boarding school in Maryland before getting to California. He had to miss two games in getting an eligibility ruling before playing in his senior season.
