Here’s a look at some of the latest University of Alabama recruiting news. All rankings refer to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Kamryn Babb, a four-star wide receiver, said on his Twitter account that he has received an offer from Alabama. Babb is in the top 50 of this year’s class, coming in at No. 48 overall and No. 10 at his position. Babb stands at 6-foot-1, 189 pounds and is from Saint Louis, Missouri.

-Five-star running back James Cook recently posted on his Twitter account that Alabama has made his top eight schools. Cook is the younger brother of former Florida State standout Dalvin Cook, and is currently committed to the Seminoles. Cook is ranked as the No. 21 player overall and the No. 3 running back in the 2018 class. He stands at 5-foot-11, 181 pounds. LSU, Auburn, Florida and Georgia also rank in his top eight.

Daniel Faalele is turning heads around the country due to size. Faalele is a 6-foot-9, 396-pound offensive tackle and has an offer from Alabama. Sports Illustrated recently did a feature on him here.

-Offensive tackle Rafiti Ghirmai stated on his Twitter account that he visited Tuscaloosa. Ghirmai is a three-star offensive tackle from Frisco, Texas, and has previously received an offer from Alabama.

Jared Goldwire, a JUCO defensive tackle, announced on his Twitter acount that he has recieved an offer from Alabama. Goldwire currently plays for Fort Scott Community College and stands at 6-foot-8, 280 pounds.

-Five-star defensive end KJ Henry posted on Twitter that he visited Tuscaloosa. Henry ranks as the No. 19 player nationally and the No. 2 weak side defensive end. Henry is from Clemmons, N.C. and stands at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds.

-Emory Jones, a quarterback who is committed to Ohio State, announced on Twitter that he received an offer from Alabama. Jones is the No. 1 dual threat quarterback in the 2018 class. Coming from Franklin, Ga., he measures at 6-foot-2, 193 pounds. Jones also has offers from Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Dakereon Joyner, a four-star quarterback, posted on Twitter that he received an offer from Alabama. Joyner ranks as the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 194 player overall in this year’s class. Joyner is 6-foot-2, 200 pounds and is from North Charleston, South Carolina. He plans to commit to the school of his choice on June 18.

Asante Samuel Jr., the son of the former all-pro cornerback, announced on Twitter that Alabama made his top five. Samuel Jr. also said that he plans to make his announcement over the summer. He ranks as the No. 14 player in the class. On Feb. 28, Samuel Jr. said that Florida State was his current top school.
