The team went through drills prior to Friday’s scrimmage inside Bryant-Denny Stadium. It was a warm day in Tuscaloosa, checking in at 84 degrees. Here is what I observed during the media viewing period.

The offensive line from left to right included Jonah Williams, Ross Pierschbacher, Bradley Bozeman, Deonte Brown and Lester Cotton. Last scrimmage the right side consisted of Cotton at right guard and Matt Womack at right tackle.

With the inside linebackers during drills were Rashaan Evans, Keith Holcombe, Joshua McMillon, Shawn Jennings and Dylan Moses.

Tight ends

Hale Hentges led the drills for the tight ends followed by Miller Forristall, Irv Smith, Ronnie Clark and Cam Stewart.

Deionte Thompson was not at the scrimmage today. Nick Saban released the following statement following the warrant issued for Thompson’s arrest: “We are still in the process of gathering all of the facts in Deionte‚Äôs situation. He has been excused today to cooperate with law enforcement in this matter. Once we have a better understanding of what happened, we will make a determination as to what needs to be done in terms of the appropriate course of action moving forward.”
