Alabama football had multiple targets visit Tuscaloosa during spring practice last week and extended some offers. Recruiting news is bound to heat up in the next week, as Alabama will host several recruits for A-Day. Here is the latest from the Alabama recruiting trail. All rankings and star ratings come from the 247Sports Composite:

-Three-star offensive tackle Jerome Carvin was in Tuscaloosa on Friday, according to his Twitter account. Carvin is the No. 44 player at his position and is from Cordova, Tennessee. This is Carvin’s second visit since getting his offer from Alabama on Feb. 21. Currently, he also holds SEC offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Jacob Copeland, a four-star receiver, tweeted that Alabama was among the schools that piqued his interest. Copeland also tweeted that he took a visit to Tuscaloosa this week. Copeland is 6-feet, 192 pounds and ranks as the No. 52 player in this year’s class. Copeland also is the No. 9 wide receiver. He holds an offer from Alabama and also announced that Alabama is in his top five on Twitter.

-According to a report by Andrew Bone of Rivals.com, five-star recruit Teradja Mitchell has narrowed his schools down to five, and Alabama is one of them. Mitchell is a linebacker who ranks as the No. 2 player at his position and the No. 21 player overall. Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson and LSU are the other four schools still in the running for Mitchell.

Mitchell told Bone, “I visited Alabama a couple of weeks ago. Their process for the players there is something that really sticks out. They are constantly putting players in the NFL and winning a lot. I want to win at the next level. That really stuck out to me, the process and the grind.”

Kyle Pitts, a three-star tight end, posted on Twitter that he received an offer from Alabama. Pitts is No. 19 tight end this year and comes from Warminster, Pennsylvania. Alabama is the fourth SEC school to offer Pitts after Florida, Georgia and Tennessee all extended scholarship offers. Pitts is 6-foot-5, 224 pounds.

Justyn Ross, the No. 1 player in Alabama, really enjoyed his visit to Clemson. Ross tweeted out that Clemson was one of the best visits he has taken so far in his recruitment. The Tigers already have the No. 1 recruit in the country in quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and that seems to be a factor in Ross’ decision. He tagged Lawrence in his tweet. Ross is a five-star wide receiver who ranks as the No. 22 player in the class. He is from Phenix City.

Defensive end Malik Vann announced on Twitter that Alabama is in his top six schools. Vann is a four-star recruit and ranks as the No. 12 strong-side defensive end in this year’s class. He is from Fairfield, Ohio and stands at 6-foot-2, 270 pounds. Tennessee also appeared in Vann’s top six. Vann received an offer from Alabama when he attended junior day on Feb. 25.

Class of 2019 safety Brian Williams announced on Twitter that he receiver an offer from Alabama. The Crimson Tide join rivals LSU and Auburn as some of the SEC schools to give Williams an offer. Williams is 6-feet, 185 pounds and is from Dallas, Texas.

Williams ranks as the No. 18 dual-threat quarterback in this year’s class and is from Lawrenceville, Georgia. He committed to Kentucky on June 19, 2016.

Williams told Andrew Bone of Rivals.com about a connection he has to the program by saying, “I am real cool with Blake Sims. He is excited about the offer. He loves it up there. He told me the opportunity there is huge. He has nothing but good things to say about Coach Saban and the program.”

-Four-star offensive tackle Max Wray announced on Twitter that he has committed to Ohio State. Wray was a target for Alabama, and ranked as the No. 4 offensive tackle in this year’s class. He visited Alabama back on March 10 and held an offer. Wray is 6-foot-6, 289 pounds and is from Franklin, Tennessee. Wray’s commitment comes just one week after he unofficially visited the Buckeyes.

-Stanford QB commit Jack West was at Alabama’s scrimmage on Friday. The 4-star prospect from Saraland, Ala. is the No. 3 recruit in the state and the No. 5 quarterback in the country. He’s been committed to Stanford since last summer but Alabama has continued to recruit him.
