The University of Alabama and Florida State will open the 2017 season in prime time on ABC, the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game announced Thursday.

Alabama and FSU will play in Atlanta at 7 p.m. CT on Sept. 2.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two teams and the first since 2007, when Florida State won 21-14 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Alabama is 4-0 all time in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, with its last game back in 2014, a 33-23 win over West Virginia.

Tennessee and Georgia Tech play in the second Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on Labor Day evening. The two teams play Monday Sept. 4, also at 7 p.m. CT

“What a way to open the college football season, with the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium and two top ACC-SEC matchups,” said Peach Bowl CEO and President Gary Stokan. “This will possibly be the biggest opening weekend in the history of college football.”
