The Alabama Crimson Tide had a busy week with recruiting, as they hosted its annual “Champions Cookout” on Friday. This led to prospects being offered and some prospects committing to the program. All-star ratings and rankings come from the 247Sports composite:
-Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons apparently enjoyed his visit to Tuscaloosa last week, posting that “The hype is real.” The 6’3, 235 pound DE is ranked No. 5 in the 2018 class. The crystal ball however sees Ohio State in the lead for his services.

-Offensive guard Riley Simonds received an offer from Alabama on Wednesday. Simonds is 6-4, 290 pounds and is in the 2019 recruiting class. He currently holds eight offers, including Mississippi State and Florida.

-Another offensive guard picked up an offer from Alabama, this time it was 3-star recruit Jarrett Bell. The 6-5, 285 pound guard is No. 57 offensive guard in his class.

-Class of 2019 quarterback Garrett Shrader picked up offers from Alabama and Tennessee this week. He now has three standing SEC scholarship offers. The 6-4.5, 200 pound quarterback from Charlotte, NC attended a camp at Alabama on July 18.

-Four-star Jeremiah Martin received an offer from Alabama on Tuesday. The 6-6, 245 pound defensive end is currently picked to choose USC as his college destination, but Alabama will continue to pursue the No. 16 ranked player at defensive end.

-Four-star wide receiver Kearis Jackson is slated to announce which school he will attend for the 2018 season. The wide receiver from Fort Valley, Ga. is favored to stay in-state and attend the University of Georgia, but Alabama did make his final list.

-Class of 2019 quarterback Michael Johnson Jr. received an offer from Alabama on Tuesday. The dual-threat from Eugene, Ore. is likely to stay home and attend Oregon, but Alabama is making sure to do it’s due diligence in swaying him to come to Tuscaloosa.

-Class of 2018 defensive end Cameron Latu is deciding between USC and Alabama on which school he should attend. The 6-5, 236 pound weak-side defender is from Salt Lake, Utah.

-Four-Star running back Tyrion Davis is a hard commit to LSU, committing the to school last month. That did not stop the 6-1, 215 pound and 17 ranked running back in the nation from visiting Alabama this weekend. Still, Alabama has an uphill battle to flip him from it’s rival.

-Four-star defensive end Jordan Davis called Alabama, “Sweet Home Alabama” when he visited this past week. The 6-5, 238 pound is a Memphis, Tenn native, who committed to Alabama on Dec. 10.

-Alabama is the favorite for three-star defensive tackle Jalen Cunningham. The 6-6, 345 pound tackle visited Tuscaloosa this past weekend. He is from Odenville, Al. and is ranked 14 at his position in the state.

–Tommy Brown, an offensive tackle from Santa Ana, Ca. committed to Alabama this past weekend. The 6/6.5, 313 pound tackle is in the 2018 class and will look to make an impact upon arrival in Tuscaloosa.

–Jaylen Waddle unofficially visited Tuscaloosa this past weekend. The 5-9.5, 175 pound receiver in the 2018 class is from Bellaire, Texas and is currently seen as a Texas A&M favorite right now.

-Four-star cornerback Jayln Armour-Davis is a hard commit to Alabama, committing to the school June 23. He visited the school this weekend. The 6-0, 160 pound corner is from Mobile and the second ranked player in the state of Alabama.

–Jaycee Horn, another four-star cornerback visited Tuscaloosa at the same time as Davis. Alabama does not hold a home town advantage with Horn, however. Horn, 6-0, 174 pounds is from Alpharetta, Ga. and is currently seen as a South Carolina lean.

-Four-star offensive tackle James Ohonba was another player visiting Tuscaloosa this past weekend. The 6-5, 320 pound tackle from Stockbridge, Ga. is currently a Clemson favorite.

–Xavier Williams could be the heir to Calvin Ridley at wide receiver for Alabama. The four-star receiver from Hollywood, Fla. is a hard commit for the University and was in Tuscaloosa this past weekend, donning an Alabama jersey.

-Four-star cornerback Adonis Otey unofficially visited Alabama on July 21. This comes 11 days after he decommitted from Tennessee. The 6-0, 175 pound corner from Murfreesboro, Tenn., has only one crystal ball prediction at this point, so his recruiting might be wide open.

-Four-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright is a one of Alabama’s top targets in the 2019 class. The 6-6, 290 pound tackle is the best player in the state at his position in the state of West Virginia.

-Class of 2020 running back Zachary Evans visited Alabama this weekend. The 6-0, 185 pound back from Houston, Texas has yet to receive an offer from Alabama, but a visit could be a stepping stone for that.

-Four-star wide receiver, Justyn Ross, from Phenix, Ala. is likely to decide between the two main Alabama schools on where he’ll play college football. The 6-4, 197 pound receiver is the best at his position in the state.

–Andres Fox had a busy weekend. He was in Tuscaloosa on Friday and then paid a visit to Auburn on Saturday. The 6-4, 232 pound defensive end from Mobile is currently seen as an Auburn lean. He is the 11 ranked player in the state.

-Four-star wide receiver Justin Watkins decommited from Texas on June 25 and he visited Alabama this past weekend. While Texas still is seen as the favorite for the 5-11, 172 pound receiver, Alabama is certainly in the mix.

-Five-star Kenyon Green announced on Twitter that he had received an offer from Alabama. Green, a LSU commit, is the No. 2 player from Texas, and the No. 2 offensive tackle in his class. He stands 6-5 and weighs 315 pounds.

-June 15 was a big day for Alabama, as it flipped the nation’s best punter, Skyler Delong, from going to rival Tennessee to committing to the Crimson Tide. He announced he’ll play in the Army All-American game.

-Four-star defensive end Brandon Smith picked up an offer from the University of Alabama on Monday. The 6-3, 210 pound defensive end is one of the top players at his position in the 2019 class.

-Five-star cornerback Tyson Campell is visiting Alabama on Monday. The 6-2.5, 180 pound corner, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. is a highly sought after prospect. He is seen as a favorite to stay at home at Miami or go to Ohio State. His visit Monday could determine if Alabama has a shot to stay in contention for Campbell.
