Alabama continued on through its second practice without two of its running backs.

Junior Bo Scarbrough sat out with an illness. He’s missed time in practice this week.

“Bo has been ill for two days,” head coach Nick Saban said. “Pretty sick. I’m talking about ill enough to be in bed. We don’t think this is a serious illness or anything like that, but we didn’t think it would be good for him to be not in a position where he could be resting.”

Sophomore Josh Jacobs did not participate as he recovers from a strained hamstring. He’s been out of practice all week. He remains day-to-day with Alabama two weeks away from the season opener against Florida State.

Senior Donnie Lee Jr., a walk-on from Tuscaloosa County High, suffered a knee injury in practice. He’ll undergo an MRI to evaluate its severity.
