High school football started back this past week, and recruiting picked up as well. Alabama made a couple of lists and missed out on a couple of prospects.Β All star ratings and rankings come from the 247Sports composite:

Four-star safety Myles Mason announced on Twitter that he would be visiting Alabama this past weekend. Mason is the No. 10 player from Alabama and the No. 24 safety in the 2018 class. He comes in at 6-2 and 185 pounds. He attended Alabama’s camp on July 17.

Four-star running back Harrold Joiner made the hour drive from Birmingham to visit Alabama on Saturday. Joiner is the No. 5 running back in his class and the No. 3 player from Alabama. The 6-3 218 pound back plays for Mountain Brook High School. This was his third unofficial visit to Alabama with the last one coming on July 22.

Four-star cornerback Nadab Joseph announced his top 5 on Twitter with Alabama making the cut. The Hialeah, FLa. native comes in at 6-1.5 and 180 pounds. He is the No. 22 cornerback in his class and the No. 44 player from Florida. He decommitted from LSU on Aug. 10. LSU, Florida State, Georgia and Oregon are the other schools on his radar.

Five-star wide receiver Terrace Marshall announced his top 5 schools on Twitter with Alabama being one of them. Marshall is the No. 1 player from Louisiana, the No. 1 wide receiver and the No. 8 player in the 2018 class. He finished his junior year at Parkway High School with 1,250 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. Marshall attended Alabama’s camp in July and was offered by the Crimson Tide on Feb. 27, 2016. Texas A&M, Texas, LSU and Florida State are also on his radar.

A pair of Alabama targets committed to other SEC schools this past week.

Four-star cornerback Jaycee Horn committed to Tennessee over Alabama on Aug. 24. Horn is the No. 25 corner in the 2018 class and the No. 24 player from Georgia.

Four-star running back Asa Martin committed to Auburn on Thursday. Martin, who is a Decatur native, is the No. 10 running back in the 2018 class and the No. 7 player from Alabama.
