The biggest news of the week came on Sunday, when four-star recruit Emil Ekiyor flipped his commitment from Michigan. Ekiyor is the No. 2 center in the country and the No. 1 player from Indiana.

Five-star corner Akeem Dent announced that he received an offer from Alabama. Dent, a current Florida State commit, is the No. 1 cornerback in the 2019 class and the No. 3 player from Florida. He committed to Florida State on July 21.

Class of 2020 wide receiver Deajaun McDougle announced that he had received an offer from Alabama. The 5-10/175-pound receiver has 17 offers already, from teams like Florida State, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Class of 2020 running back Jaylan Knighton announced on Twitter that he received an Alabama offer. Knighton is a 5-10/170-pound back from Deerfield Beach, Fla. Alabama is the first school to offer him a scholarship to this point.

Defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon announced on Twitter that received an offer from Alabama. Nixon is an Iowa commit who plays for Iowa Western Community College. He stands at 6-2.5 and weighs 272 pounds.

Four-star cornerback Chris Steele announced his top five on Twitter, with Alabama making the cut. The other schools were Oklahoma, Michigan, Cal and USC. Steele is the No. 2 cornerback and the No. 6 player from California in the 2019 class. The 6-1/188-pound corner received his offer from Alabama on May 15.

Three-star tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson announced on Twitter that he decommitted from Texas. Wood-Anderson chose Texas over Alabama originally. The 6-5/245-pound tight end is the No. 1 tight end in the class and the No. 2 player from Arizona. He currently plays for Arizona Western College, where he finished with 218 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns last year.

Four-star defensive tackle Bobby Brown committed to Texas A&M on Friday. Alabama was one of his finalists.
