Alabama’s undefeated season came to an end when it lost the Iron Bowl. The Crimson Tide’s destiny lies in the hands of the College Football Playoff committee. However, all of its 2018 commits still alive in the playoffs last week won their games and will see their seasons continue. All star ratings are from the 247Sports composite:
Four-star cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis and St. Paul’s Episcopal (Mobile) defeated Beauregard 52-20. The Saints advanced to the 5A semifinals with the win.
Three-star all-purpose back Slade Bolden led West Monroe (Louisiana) to the LHSAA Non-Select Prep Classic semifinals with a 31-17 win over Barbe.
Four-star offensive tackle Tommy Brown helped lead Mater Dei (California) to the Divsion 1 CIF Southern Section High School Football Championship. The Monarchs ran for 186 yards and threw for 199 yards in their semifinal win over Mission Viejo.
Four-star defensive end Jordan Davis’ high school career came to an end earlier this fall when Southwind (Tennessee) lost 49-48 to Brighton in the second round of the playoffs.
Three-star punter Skyler DeLong and Nation Ford (South Carolina) lost in the first round of the 3A playoffs 35-14 to Greenwood earlier this fall.
Four-star center Emil Ekiyor’s season came to an end with a 42-13 loss in the Indiana state semifinals earlier this fall. The Fighting Irish ran for 233 yards in the loss.
Three-star athlete Vernon Jackson led Boling (Texas) to the third round of the 3A Texas playoffs with a 45-14 win over Dilley.
Four-star defensive end Cameron Latu’s season with Olympus (Utah) ended with a 28-14 loss to Springville earlier this fall. He finished with 10 total tackles in the loss. Latu finished with 42 total tackles and eight tackles for a loss in his senior season.
Four-star outside linebacker Quay Walker finished his high school career with a 26-25 loss to Pike County previously this fall. Crisp County (Georgia) reached the second round of the playoffs. Walker finished his senior season with 63 tackles, nine of which were for a loss, and one sack.
Four-star wide receiver Xavier Williams and Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) advanced to the 3A championship game with a 49-3 win over Clearwater Central Catholic.
Four-star defensive end Stephon Wynn and IMG Academy (Florida) previously finished its season with a 48-0 win over Bishop Sullivan Catholic. Wynn finished his senior season with 18 tackles in eight games.
