Class of 2020 cornerback Javier Morton committed to Alabama on Saturday. The high school sophomore announced his decision on Twitter.

The 6-1/175-pound corner chose Alabama over 13 other schools, including Florida and Tennessee. he received his offer from Alabama on Aug. 7 and visited the Crimson Tide on Aug. 26 unofficially.

Morton is a Stone Brook, Ga. native, who plays for Stephenson High School.

At 6-foot-1, he has good height as a defensive back. He could fill in as a star corner his freshman year, or he could move back to safety depending on how he develops during the remainder of his high school career.  He could potentially be an Anthony Averett type of player.

He is the first commit in the 2020 class.
