Four-star cornerback Nadab Joseph announced his commitment to Alabama on Tuesday via Twitter. He chose the Crimson Tide over LSU and Georgia.

Joseph is the No. 24 corner in the country and the No. 41 player from Florida.

The 6-2/180-pound corner was originally an LSU commit, but decided to reopen his recruitment on Aug. 4. Since then, he has visited Tuscaloosa several times, taking his official visit on Nov. 5.

With his size, Joseph could fill a major role in Alabama’s secondary. With Hootie Jones, Anthony Averett, Tony Brown and possibly Minkah Fitzpatrick leaving, the Crimson Tide needs to refill the secondary. Joseph could potentially fill the star role in his freshman year.

Joseph is Alabama’s 12th commit of the class and the ninth four-star recruit.

Four star cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis is the only other corner in the 2018 class so far. Joseph is the first 2018 commit for Alabama since Emil Ekyor flipped his commitment from Michigan on Oct. 29.
