After signing a smaller, but needs-based 2018 class, Alabama is forging on with its 2019 class. Coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are looking for quarterbacks in the class, as the program did not sign one during the 2018 recruiting cycle.

Here is the latest on Alabama’s recruiting prospects. All star ratings and rankings come from the 247Sports composite:

  • Jayden Daniels, a four-star quarterback from San Bernardino, Calif., received an offer from Alabama on Monday. Daniels is the fifth-ranked dual-threat QB in the 2019 class.

  • Sam Howell, a four-star quarterback in 2019 class, picked up an Alabama offer on Valentine’s Day. Howell is the fourth-ranked pro-style QB in the class.

  • Another 2019 quarterback prospect, Ty Evans, received an offer from Alabama last week. The three-star prospect committed to Colorado on Jan. 15 and he is ranked the No. 12 pro-style QB in the class.

  • Alabama offered the No. 1 ranked tight end in the 2019 class last Monday. Hudson Henry, from Little Rock, Ark., is the 37th-ranked prospect in the class and the top player in the state of Arkansas. Hudson has also received offers from Florida, Clemson and Texas A&M this month.

  • Offensive tackle Xavier Truss picked up an Alabama offer last Tuesday. Truss, from Warwick, R.I., has received six total offers from SEC schools this month alone.

  • 2020 Linebacker Osita Ekwonu received an offer from Alabama last Wednesday. Ekwonu, from Charlotte, currently holds 20 offers.

  • Safety Noa Pola-Gates picked up his 10th offer in his recruitment, an offer from the Alabama Crimson Tide. Gates attended junior day and picked up an offer at Penn State on Feb. 3. Gates is from Gilbert, Ariz.

  • Siaki Ika, a four-star defensive tackle from Salt Lake City, decommitted from BYU on Saturday. Ika unofficially visited and received an offer from Alabama on Feb. 3.

  • Center Alex Pearman picked up a Preferred Walk-On from Alabama on Friday. Pearman, from Alabaster, has offers from Mississippi College and Faulkner.
