The team worked outside and for the first time of spring, the team was in pads. Here is what I saw during the media viewing period.

Outside linebackers

Christian Miller led the group, followed by Jamey Mosley, Terrell Lewis and Chris Allen. The field was wet and the players kept slipping during drills, leading outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi to joke that he wet the field on purpose to tell who the real athletes were.

Defensive linemen

Raekwon Davis led the group, followed by Quinnen Williams, Isaiah Buggs, Johnny Dwight, Phiadarian Mathis, LaBryan Ray and Stephon Wynn. Keep an eye out on Williams. Multiple people have told me he’s going to be good this year.

Quarterbacks

Tua Tagovailoa was on the field and was throwing 5-yard soft toss passes. The face that he’s throwing at all is a good sign.

Running backs

Damien Harris led the group, followed by Najee Harris, Brian Robinson and Ronnie Clark.

Offensive line

Jonah Williams remained at left tackle with Josh Casher at left guard, Ross Pierschbacher at center, Lester Cotton at right guard and Jedrick Wills at right tackle.
