The calendar flipped to April on Sunday, which only means A-Day for Alabama is getting close. Alabama will host its spring scrimmage on April 21.
Sunday was also April Fools’ Day. One Alabama target decided that he would have fun with the holiday and caused some panic for Georgia fans.

- One of Alabama’s top targets in the 2019 class had some fun on Twitter this weekend. Nolan Smith, the No. 5 prospect in the nation No. 3 weakside defensive tackle in the class tweeted that he was decommitting from Georgia. He fooled recruiting experts, like 247Sports’ Hank South, with his April Fools joke.

- Alabama made a late addition to its 2018 recruiting class during the week when defensive tackle Tevita Musika signed on Wednesday. He’s a junior college prospect who will arrive on campus as a junior.
- Defensive tackle Faatui Tuitele is counting the days down until he visits Tuscaloosa. The five-star and No. 24 overall prospect in the 2019 class does not yet hold an offer from Alabama, but is expected to pick one up this week. After his visit to Tuscaloosa, Tuitele is expected to visit Ohio State on April 6.

- Defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux released his schedule for visits for April on Twitter on Wednesday. The top-ranked prospect in the 2019 class has Alabama on his docket for this coming Saturday. Alabama offered the five-star weak-side defensive end back in February of 2017.

- Three star cornerback Jaydon Hill tweeted from Mal Moore Athletic Facility on Thursday afternoon. Hill, from Madison, is the 25th-ranked prospect in the state and the 49th-ranked corner in the 2019 class.

- Outside linebacker prospect Logan Snead posted a picture of himself in an Alabama jersey and he said he could see himself donning the crimson jersey. Snead, from Eufaula, is the son of Los Angeles Rams GM,Β Les Snead. The class of 2019 linebacker missed his entire junior season with three stress fractures in his foot, according to 247 Sports. He moved to Alabama from California before his senior season.

- Defensive tackle prospect Jayson Jones tweeted out he would be at Alabama on Friday. The top-ranked prospect in the state in the 2020 class is from Calera and is ranked as the No. 5 defensive tackle according to 247Sports rankings.

- Defensive tackle Rashad Cheney Jr. posted a picture on Twitter of his unofficial visit to Alabama this weekend. The four-star prospect is the 17th-ranked prospect at his position in the 2019 class. Cheney visited Alabama last on March 10, when he also picked up an offer from the university.

- The fifth-ranked wide receiver in the 2019 class, Theo Wease Jr., named Alabama among his top five choices for where he’d like to play next year. Wease picked up an offer from Alabama on Feb. 2, though he has not made his way to campus yet.

- Brayden Liebrock, a three-star tight end, revealed on Twitter he has received an offer from Alabama on Twitter. Liebrock is the 13th-ranked tight end prospect in the 2019 class.
