One of the top in-state prospects in 2020 committed to Alabama on Friday evening. Wide receiver Dazalin Worsham announced his pledge to kick off A-Day weekend in Tuscaloosa.
Worsham committed to Alabama over Auburn, Clemson, and LSU, among others. He’s the third commitment this week, following 2019 linebacker Shane Lee and cornerback Christian Williams.

Worsham, from Trussville, is the top-ranked offensive prospect in the state of Alabama in the 2020 class and the No. 2 overall prospect in the state. He is the 14th-ranked wide receiver nationally and the 83rd-overall ranked prospect in the class, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking.
Alabama already has commitments from two of Worsham’s current teammates at Hewitt-Trussville in the 2019 class in four-star quarterback Paul Tyson and five-star offensive tackle Pierce Quick. Quick has played a huge recruiting role for the Alabama class since committing on April 22, 2017.
The 6-foot-1, 178-pounder landed an offer from Alabama on Jan. 12 and was on campus for an unofficial visit on April 7.
Worsham is the third Alabama commit for the 2020 recruiting cycle, joining four-star cornerback Javier Morton and four-star linebacker Jackson Bratton. The Crimson Tide’s 2020 class ranks No. 3 in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite team recruiting Rankings.
The commitment comes a day before A-Day, when Alabama expects to have several top recruits in town for the annual spring game.
