Alabama landed its fourth commitment of the week, third for the 2019 class on Saturday afternoon. Four-star quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, the brother of Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, committed to Alabama.
The four-star quarterback announced his commitment in a video on Twitter, while he was in Tuscaloosa for A-Day, Alabama’s spring game.

Tagovailoa choose Alabama over offers from Tennessee, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Lane Kiffin’s Florida Atlantic, among others. He received an offer from Alabama on July 30, 2016 and the Crimson Tide was believed to be his most likely destination since.
A 5-foot-11, 203-pound prospect, Tagovailoa is the sixth-ranked pro-style quarterback and the eight-ranked prospect in the state, and the 206th-ranked prospect in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The Tagovailoa family moved to Alabama in the Spring of 2017, after Tua Tagovailoa started practicing with the team. The young Tagovailoa is attending Thompson High School.
In his junior season, Tagovailoa passed for 3,820 yards and 36 touchdowns.
Tagovailoa is the second quarterback in the 2019 recruiting class for the Crimson Tide, joining Paul “Bear” Bryant’s grandson, four-star quarterback Paul Tyson.
The commitment moves Alabama up to the second-ranked recruiting class for 2019, according to 247Sports Composite team recruiting Rankings.
