Nick Saban and Alabama had a big week, as the Crimson Tide football program landed five prospects, including three during A-Day weekend.

Here are the 2019 prospects Alabama landed this week:

The four commitments for the 2019 class brought Alabama’s total to 10 for the cycle and put it over Oklahoma for the No. 1 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings, for a brief time.

The Crimson Tide also landed one prospect in the 2020 class, four-star wide receiver Dazalin Worsham.

Here is the latest on Alabama’s recruiting prospects. All star ratings and rankings come from the 247Sports composite:

  • Alabama’s brief run as the top-ranked recruiting class ended when four-star safety Brendan Gant announced his decommitment on Sunday. Gant was in Tuscaloosa for A-Day, but then visited Florida State after. He was in Tallahassee when he made his announcement. Gant is rated the No. 6 safety and the No. 131 overall player in the 2019 class.

  • Four-star weak-side defensive end Kevin Harris tweeted he would announce his commitment on May 1. Harris, the No. 4 player at his position and the No. 68 overall player in the 2019 class, received an Alabama offer on March 9. He visited campus on April 5. The 247Sports crystal ball currently forecasts him to the Crimson Tide.

  • Defensive back DJ Turner II named Alabama among his top 11 schools on Tuesday on Twitter. Turner is a four-star prospect and the No. 27 cornerback prospect in the 2019 class.

  • Top-100 prospect Jaylen McCollough was in town for A-Day this weekend. He’s the No. 4 safety and the No. 89 overall player in the 2019 class. McCollough is also considering Florida State, South Carolina, Tennessee, among others.

  • 2020 offensive tackle Omari Thomas was in Tuscaloosa for an unofficial visit and received an offer from the Crimson Tide the very next day. Thomas is No. 42 overall player in the class by 247Sports and No. 9 offensive tackle.

  • Four-star defensive tackle Siaki Ika made his arrival to Tuscaloosa known on Friday. Ika, the No. 11 defensive tackle in the 2019 class, received an Alabama offer on April 3, the same day he made his first visit to Tuscaloosa.

  • Four-star cornerback Isaiah Rutherford was also in town for A-Day this weekend. Rutherford is the 37th-ranked cornerback prospect in the 2019 class.

  • Hueytown running back Roydell Williams visited campus for the A-Day game as well. The 2020 prospect is the 25th-ranked running back and No. 10 player in Alabama in his class.

  • Alabama signee and four-star offensive guard Emil Ekiyor Jr. announced he was back in Tuscaloosa for A-Day. Ekiyor signed with Alabama on Dec. 20, 2017. He was the 113th-ranked prospect in the 2018 class.

  • After initially saying he would be committing sooner than July 4, 2020 prospect Jayson Jones went back to his original plan of announcing on Independence Day. Jones, who was on campus this weekend, is the top-ranked player in the state for the class, the fifth-ranked defensive tackle and the 28th overall ranked player, according to 247Sports. Jones is from Calera.

  • Defensive tackle Timothy Smith announced he has received an offer from Alabama on Twitter during his A-Day visit. Smith is the No. 124 prospect in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.

  • Offensive tackle Stacey Wilkins announced he also has received an offer from the Crimson Tide. Wilkins was another prospect in town for A-Day this weekend. Wilkins is a four-star prospect and is the No. 32 offensive tackle in the 2019 class.

  • Four-star defensive tackle Antonio Alfano named Alabama among his top three teams after his visit for A-Day. Alfano is the fifth-ranked prospect at his position and the 58th-ranked player in the 2019 class.

Basketball Recruiting:

  • 2021 small forward prospect, KeyShawn Murphy, received his first basketball offer, from the Crimson Tide. The 6-foot-7, 185 pound attends Ramsay High School in Birmingham.

  • Four-star basketball prospect Drew Timme announced he received an offer from Alabama on Twitter on Sunday. Timme, a power forward, is the 108th-ranked prospect and the 18th-ranked at his position in the 2019 class.
